December 1996 - Cartoon for the first issue of High school journal

Cover of “Il Blaise” (journal of Liceo Scientifico B.Pascal, Pomezia), published in December 1996.

One humanized copy of the journal escapes from two characters: on the left, a “young communist”, on the right, a skinhead. Label says “Born free!”.

The clothes of the two characters, even if emphasized, are not so far from the “political fashion” at that time. Skinheads were present in the late 90is in the hinterland of Rome, and actually wore black and short jackets (called “bombers”), while left-wing oriented guys used to wear a kefiah (coming from the support to Palestinians against Israel). Trousers are the same, sort of joggers for gym at school. Shoes are kind of wrong: at least skin-heads definitely wore black amphibious boots.
